FLUCORTAN
Steroid anti-inflammatory for intramuscular, subcutaneous, intravenous and intra-articular application indicated for all cases that corticosteroid therapy is recommended in cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and cats.
ACTION
The use of a corticosteroid (eg flumethasone) in combination with antibacterial therapy produces faster results in the fight against bacterial infections. Used initially in the United States and France, this combination is widely used worldwide. Inflammation is known to be one of the animal’s defense against infection. It is a defense action that tends to isolate or encapsulate the focus of the rest of the body.
In the meantime, this process blocks the penetration of antibiotics into the area of infection. Flumethasone reduces inflammation, thereby allowing antibiotics to reach the area of infection more quickly and effectively. With regard to hydrocortisone, it has a gluconeogenic action 700 times more potent and a anti-inflammatory action 120 times more potent.
